HAVE YOUR SAYCAN WE FORGIVE GROVELLING BROWN AND CAMERON?Monday May 11 2009
Prime Minister Brown offered a public apology on behalf of MPs of all parties as the row over parliamentary allowances continued to engulf Westminster.BOTH Gordon Brown and David Cameron issued grovelling apologies today as the fall-out from the expenses scandal raged on. He said: “I want to apologise on behalf of politicians on behalf of all parties for what has happened in the events of the last few days." And opposition leader Cameron also begged for the country's forgiveness, after the Conservatives were also dragged into the controversy - with it emerging that senior Tories had claimed for gardening and pet food amongst other things. He said it was “another bad day for parliament and frankly another bad day for the the Conservative Party”. “We are sorry that this happened and it needs to change." SO ARE YOU ANGRY ABOUT THE SHOCKING EXPENSES REVELATIONS? CAN YOU FORGIVE BROWN AND CAMERON AFTER THEIR GROVELLING APOLOGIES? DO YOU TRUST ANY OF OUR POLITICIANS? HAVE YOUR SAY NOW!

CAN WE FORGIVE GROVELLING BROWN AND CAMERON?

Not unless they get rid of every and that means every single thieving MP in the house of commons that is the only time they will ever be trusted again. Even then people will find it very difficult in the circumstances i should imagine. These MPs are not children they are adults and have been making these claims for ridiculous sums of money for non essential items for years and have only come clean and apologised because they have been forced to do so. It's not right.Normal joe public would have been arrested, taken to court and possibly sent to prison and been forced to pay these moneys back. These MPs in a lot of cases haven't even done this including Cameron as far as i'm aware and the we are all aware there is a bad recession the country is facing dire straits and big tax rises yet it's ok for MPs to be stealing thousands from the tax payers yet they think it's ok to say sorry and all will be forgiven.

After over a week of public revelations of the extent of excessive claiming of expence monies by MPs there are still more to be exposed.
From Mars bars to Swimming pools, from a few pence for stamps to £1000+ for TVs and Hi Fi's the list seems endless.
These almost fraudulent claims seem to cross all social classes, from the hoi-poloi to the Aristos, and all levels of education, from secondary school oiks to Oxbridge graduates. Its disgusting.
Now the question is, how do we repair the damage and restore the "Honourable" to how we can refer to our MPs.
We need an independent panel to define MPs wages and expences. A panal consisting of a senior Judge, two businessmen, real accountants and at least half a dozen ordinary people, two office workers, two physical workers and two working class OAPS. half of this panel should be rotated every two years. This would stop any embedded corruption forming.
These panelists should get no more than double the minimum wage and an allowence for two star hotel accomodation if they have to travel more than 50mils each way. travel to be by 2nd class. and say £25/day for food and sundries. All claims to be supported by receipts.
We can not leave a panel like this to a cosy bunch of PMs or Peers mates.
But as its going to be Gorgon Brown and possibly Cameron and Clegg who decide this do not expect any real reform. Remember all three have had their snouts in the trough too!

He has been banned so many times before and he has astounded us with his regular reappearances.
Just seems strange thats all.
Still, it certainly is more peaceful on here.
